Miscarriages

Image
Steven's perfect little feet Hi everyone! First off, Please comment below and share! So I can't really think of a better name for this post but it's basically gonna be kinda my story of my own mom's miscarriages and I just kinda wanna let people know that it is 100% okay to be upset by your mother having a miscarriage. I feel like people don't really understand that it is really hard when that happens and while it definitely is harder to lose a sibling that has been born and that you have been with and loved so much it is still really hard when you have a sibling die that is unborn and that you never got to meet and love. And also I feel like since so many people have miscarriages (most of the mothers I know have had at least one and according to March of Dimes around 50% of pregnancies end in a miscarriage which is truly really sad) that people just kinda normalize it, which is really sad because no matter how young the baby is it is ALWAYS a baby and it is

Rumors

Hi everyone! First off, Please comment below and share! So lately I have been thinking a LOT about rumors. As I hear things from my friends, siblings, and acquaintances about other people. This is especially bad in High School since everyone is changing a lot and most people are entering the ACTUAL dating scene (I say this because I do not believe that "dating" in Middle School counts). Anyway, the point is everyone, myself definitely included, wants to know who other people like and how much other people party, etc. And honestly, unless the person tells you or makes it public knowledge (eg. telling most people and/or posting it publicly on social media and such) it's really none of your business. And another thing is that if you hear it from anyone else it's most likely exaggerated and/or changed at least a little bit.  That brings me to another point you have got to be careful about what you believe, you really do. So there are a couple ways that you can be pret

Feast of St. Maria Goretti -A Role Model for Girls

Image
Hi everyone! First off, Please comment below and share! Today I am gonna be talking about Saint Maria Goretti, whose feast day was on Friday! Maria Goretti is actually my confirmation saint and two of my close friends as well so I have a deep devotion to her and this is why: if you know anything about Maria Goretti then you know that she was an eleven-year-old farm girl, who was attacked by an eighteen-year-old neighbor, who lived with their family. His name was Allesandro. He had tried to seduce Maria but was kept quiet by Alessandro's threats to kill her and her family.  And eventually, he would not take her no any longer and attempted to rape her. He ended up stabbing her fourteen times when she tried to fend him off. She continued to repeat  "No.  It's a sin.  God does not want it.  You'll go to hell!". When Alessandro saw the blood all over Maria's clothes he realized what he had done and ran off to his bedroom and locked the door. Maria laid ther

Steubenville Continued -What Happened After Steubenville

Wow so a lot has happened since then... then as in like four hours ago. Well, not a LOT a lot but I was really enlightened by the Holy Spirit at Adoration tonight. So we went to a Steubenville recap and a lot of people gave their testimonies on what happened to them. And a lot were really really relatable. One thing that really struck me was the people who said that they found it "spiritually dry" and were upset by that. The thing was that I didn't really find it dry but I had been finding mass dry like I talked about above anyways I was just sitting in adoration and I am not sure if I have ever felt more inspired by the Holy Spirit in my life. And I definitely have never felt so at peace. So here is what happened: I have a problem. I do this thing where I get SUPER stressed about the future like who am I gonna marry, how will I know he's the one, am I called to marriage or to be a nun, what college should I go to, what should I major, how am I gonna be able

The Greatest of These is Love

Image
Well, this is gonna be a very serious post about love it is part one of my chastity post. So... This is a really, really hard topic to talk/write about. Because let's face it love is a mystery and I don't think anyone will ever be able to fully understand it.  What is Love?  " Love is patient,  love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud.   5  It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking,  it is not easily angered,  it keeps no record of wrongs.   6  Love does not delight in evil  but rejoices with the truth.   7  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. 8  Love never fails. But where there are prophecies,  they will cease; where there are tongues,  they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.   9  For we know in part  and we prophesy in part,   10  but when completeness comes,  what is in part disappears.   11  When I was a child, I talked like a child, I thought like a child, I rea

Steubenville 2018 -Revealed

Image
Hi everyone! First off, Please comment below and share! So if you're wondering why I have not been blogging for so long because I was away at one of the best retreats ever! I visited Steubenville, which was so awesome! I love retreats and Steubenville is one of the best Catholic retreats out there! Anyways here is the short story of my spiritual experience at Steubenville: What Happened at Steubenville: I realized this:  God gave me an amazing gift this weekend! I learned from a friend this wonderful insight that helped me so much! The insight was that the reason you might not be feeling something amazing or even being overwhelmed by the feeling of the presence of God might be because since you already believe he is not having you feel for that reason. This helped me a lot since recently I have been feeling really disappointed about how I felt and my reaction to the miracle of the Eucharist. It wasn't that I doubted that it was truly Jesus in there it was just that

Guest Speaker Kyra on Surrendering to Christ

Image
Hi everyone! First off, Please comment below and share! Today I have another guest speaker on my blog for you! I know I said I would release them on the first of each month but I didn't want to wait any longer so here it is! The speaker is my friend named Kyra, who is one of the holiest and inspiring people I know and I am very honored to have her speak on my blog! I have mentioned Kyra a few times on my blog anonymously and she is the one who inspired me to find my life motto. So thanks, Kyra! And thanks for writing something on my blog! So here is what Kyra has to say, everyone! “To think you can love God without being changed by Him, is to think you can jump into the ocean and not get wet. To really love Him, you must understand that your life is going to be wrecked by Him, and built again into something beautiful, something lasting.” -T.B. LaBerge Scary, isn’t it? The fear, confusion, and anxiety we feel reading this quote are what point us directly to our utte

Best Updo Hairstyles

Image
I love braids!! I would wear my hair in a braid every single day if I could braid it well. I am going to list my favorite types of braided hairstyles!! Some of my favorites I already listed in my  Best Half-Up Half-Down Hairstyles  post. And I don't want to do too many hairstyles so I am probably just gonna stick to the basics. Here we go!  1. Crown Braid: These are the classiest! They are so fancy and such a cute updo for anyone! They work great for dances and formal occasions and are actually pretty simple! I have linked a video here that actually show you three different ways to crown braid! 2. Double Dutch Braids Updo: This one is so gorgeous! But it is very formal. I could not believe how simple it is! Just watch the video here and it will show you exactly how to do it 3. Braided Space Buns: First of all, I am so happy space buns are back in! They are so adorable. And braided ones are even cuter! I know it can be hard sometimes to work up t

The Beach (and summer)

Image
I just went to the beach recently and I loved it so so much!!! The beach is honestly one of my favorite places on earth and summer is one of my favorite times ever! I literally wanna go on my first date there, get proposed to there, and go on my honeymoon there. It's so romantic! What I love about the beach: Bethany Beach Boardwalk!  Sun! Going in the water and jumping, diving, and getting crashed by waves Going on the boardwalk and buying fries from D B's and soaking them in vinegar Buying overpriced ice cream from Kohr Bros Getting buried in the sand Going to play volleyball at the park  Buying more overpriced food from Candy Kitchen, eating a million free samples, and seeing if you have a red star on your receipt so you can win a free pound of fudge.  Taking a million pictures of the sunset and the water Jumping off lifeguard chairs Being able to walk into stores in just your bathing suit and no shoes Building sandcastles Walking on the beach Go mi

Best Half-Up Half-Down Hairstyles

Image
Hi, guys! And I love everything hair related! But sometimes I just don't know what to do with my hair. Sometimes I have those days where I just want to shave my head and stop worrying about my hair. That is why I am going to post my favorite hairstyles for summer! And I will link how to videos from youtube. Here we go! 1/2 Up 1/2 Down Hairstyles: Hairstyles that are half up and half down are probably my favorite type of hairstyles! It's the best of both worlds! You can have it up and out of your face, but you can still have some hair down so it frames your face. 1. The Waterfall Braid: This braid is so elegant yet simple enough that you could wear it anywhere! That's why I love it so much! You can find how to videos here and here . The first video shows you how to do a small one and the second video shows you how to do one that wraps around your head.  2. The Half-Up Bun: This became super popular sometime last year and is still adorable. It's a

Tattoos

Image
Sorry for not posting on Sunday like I normally do! I was tired yesterday and didn't feel like moving... Anyway, this is gonna be a post on tattoos! Is it morally wrong to get a tattoo? No! Absolutely not. Well, some priests say (and I totally agree with them) that getting tattoos on your face is morally wrong. That being said in general tattoos are not bad or of the devil. While getting a tattoo is not wrong sometimes the what or where of the tattoo can make it wrong. For example, getting a curse word tattoed on you or getting a tattoo on your face. I also have to say, regarding tattoos, that people I know who have tattoos say that you should think for a very long time before you get a tattoo. I know I went through a phase (hem, hem like two weeks ago) when I totally wanted to get a tattoo, once I was older, but then I started thinking "wow it's permanent ! Like no going back permanent". And I am the kind of person who is always changing what I li
